Home Visitation

Free, Voluntary and Confidential

Our Home Visitation program is funded by Alberta Children’s Services as a program under the Mackenzie Family Resource Network. The well established practice of  Home Visitor visits with the family in their home to help expectant parents and those with newborns and young children.

Knowing about infant care and understanding how to help little ones grow and develop is important work for parents in the first 5 years.  Home Visitation supports the entire family to improve parenting skills and provide a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for their children.   The overall goal is to give children a healthy start during these critical years to increase the opportunities for reaching their full potential.

The MFRN is your one-stop shop for all things family. If we can’t directly help you, we can connect you to someone who can.

Supports can be available to the family until the child reaches 6 years.
